Developer Relations Engineer Java/Kotlin/Node.js
We are building a new internal application development platform for a leading global bank. The goal is to give developers an experience at least as good as market solutions such as Vercel, Heroku or Coolify, within a regulated enterprise environment. The platform will serve around 30,000 developers, and approximately 80% of the bank's workloads are expected to move to it over the next 3–4 years. Adoption depends on developers choosing the platform because it is the easiest and most effective way to build, not because it is mandated.
You will join an international team of approximately 8 people and have the opportunity to help build a world-class developer platform from the ground up. The role combines hands-on engineering with extensive stakeholder interaction.
About you:
- Strong hands-on development skills in Java, Kotlin or Node.js.
- Proven experience building and delivering engineering assets such as templates, automation, reference implementations, onboarding materials or developer tooling.
- Practical understanding of developer experience, including standardisation and automation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both senior management and large developer audiences.
- Ability to write clear technical content (documentation, how-to guides, examples) for large audiences.
- Production mindset covering security, resilience, observability and supportability.
- Self-driven approach and strong collaboration skills across multiple teams.
